Default Y2KV coming soon!

It's official! I just bought a Jackson Y2KV (in black pearl) and I can't wait for it to get here LOL. These things are increasingly hard to come by (they didn't make many) PLUS the economy is in such shambles it makes them more affordable

I will post pics once she arrives of course, but for now this crappy stock pic will have to do LOL. This is the model/color I got:

Dude if I could find one with a trem on it, I'd be ALL OVER IT. As far as I know, only a few were made with Floyds and they all went to Dave Mustaine (note the difference in body shape too. The Floyd version has a more comfy looking crotch LOL). You can see him playing one on the Rude Awakening DVD (I put a video below to show you. Pretty sick lookng with a Floyd huh? ).

Anyway. these guitars are rare as all fuck to begin with (I read somewhere only 500 were made, and Jackson has banned Gibson-shaped Vs now... so yeah... rare)

Damn doesn't this look like total SEX in metallic silver with a Floyd??
(bigger pics here and here)
VINNY!! I MIGHT NEED A PAINT JOB!!! hahaha

I was thinking the same thing. These are only gonna get harder to find in good shape, and the prices due to economy are so low right now they're easier to snag low and hold onto. Totally understood on that

Ok it finally arrived! WOOHOO!

I gotta say this guys... whether you're a fan of flying V guitars or not, this thing is an unbelievable instrument. I mean, the quality and craftsmanship rival (if not, tops) ANYTHING I've ever played before. I'm being dead serious. This guitar is incredible in every way. Playing-wise, it almost plays itself LOL. it's got a Mahogany body, but is light as hell. When you pick it up, though, it just feels SOLID. Know what I mean? The attention to detail on this one is insane. It's a shame they can't make them anymore!

Pickups in it are a Duncan JB in the bridge and a Duncan Jazz in the neck. I was a bit skeptical about this combination in this type of guitar but as soon as I plugged it in, I realized I had nothing to worry about. It fucking ROARS

Jon I gotta say when I first played this guitar I immediately thought of you. This is YOUR kinda V. I don't know why, but it is LOL. Next time I come visit I will bring it with me, cause you really need to play this puppy. It puts that silver KV2 to shame in my opinion. TO SHAME.

Wait a minute!!! You making fun of my comfy Kahlers? hahaha

I'm a big fan of Megadeth and Vs. I liked that silver one. I don't like the 3 on a side head. I need a Floyd and a pointy headstock. It's an awesome collectable but not a guitar I'd want to play.

Congrats on your new baby!

I'm with you on the 3/side heads. I am not a fan either. Not at all. Matter of fact thats the ONLY thing I dislike about the axe... always have. But it makes up for it in pure playability and craftsmanship. I'm diggin' it. Every time I pick it up I'm thinking man I need to put this in a case and forget I own it, but for now I gotta play it It's just TOO much for me to resist for now. Later it will go into a case and hang out there. I have my sights on an NOS one as well. Korina model. Pricey but I want it so who knows. Time will tell

Jon, between you and I we've spent some money recently haven't we? LOL. God I gotta slow down now! This is breaking the bank hahaha
