Default Ferrington question

I am wondering if anyone has had any better luck with intonation on their Ferrington with 10's versus 9's? I have never tried 10's but may have to do that.

Yes, I have. The one I had intonated within a couple cents with some phospor-bronze .010s. The action was a little funky on it too and I shimmed the neck and put it back on, had a buzz on both e strings. Backed the trussrod 1/8-1/4 turn counter clockwise and the thing had great action, good intonation, and thin sound.

Cool thanks guys. I'll grab some today and hope it cures the problem. That's really annoying to be out of tune in areas!!

Haven't strung it yet. I'm dressing the frets and changing a flat one while I'm at it, but I'll post here when it's done and strung up again. Thanks for checking back!

Hey bros-
The 10's somehow make the difference. I would have never thought that string guage would change intonation as the scale stays the same, but whatever.... it worked! Can't say I am big on the feel of 10's but maybe I'll grow to like it.
Thanks!

Danny
