Default Amp question (JCM800)

Hey there guys,

Ok this might be the most common question ever but here I go...

Soon Ill be able to afford a new amp...Ive been wanting a JCM800 2203 for years now...but Ive never tried it b4, I guess its because Ive heard so amazing reviews and even when I dont gig just play as a hobby I still want a big amp, just for tone not that I really need lots of volume lol...I mostly play metal, shred, some hard rock and maybe some blues...would this amp be good for this type of music...also Ive read that it isnt much versatile, is that true?

ANY advise will be really appreciated.

My guitars are a Kramer, Jackson and LP copy.

Thanks,

Ivan

Bro, that would be killer. You could get any tone you want out of it but you realize 100 watts will knock every thing off the walls including the paint. There is no low volume playing that would sound worth a damn with that rig in your room or even in your house unless you got a real big house and far way neighbors.
Too much power, look at amps in the 15 to 40 watt range then you can crank them a little to get the tube tone.
Of course if you got the money and can get a good deal grab one - you will be able to say you had one and then you'll know.

lol Ive tried 50w-100w combos could deal with the volume pretty well, but again I havent tried half stacks but they look so sexy haha anyway I might end with a Marshall combo if volumes a big problem...
