man.. that's killer.. if only you let the ball end of the string suck-up all the way yo the peg... kinda defeats the purpose of backwards stringing, eh?.. but still.. that is one freakin awesome job!...

Nice video, what camera did you use? The guitar looks sharp.
I don't remember where I got them but I've got a set of different size truss rod wrenches that look like little pipes. They get into real tight places.

Nice guitar, love the custom work, was it airbrushed, or mixed airbrush and freehand?

Also for your restringing job, can you explain what you guys mean by letting "the ball end suck up to the peg" I never owned a floyd-rose Trem before, so reverse direction stringing is all new to me, I watched a few videos on restringing floyds using a wooden block to keep the bridge level with the body. Also would it make sense to install a No-trem in one of these mavs? I'm slightly new to floating bridge systems, and have only used hardtail bridges in the past.

Anyways, Nice guitar!

Best,
Mike

Hey mike , let me start of by saying , if your not a spammer , them im sorry for the harsh words .

nothing wrong with selling a guitar , i buy & sell all the time ,
but would never use the forum bro's as an edge .

as for the maverick on the vid , i bought it all screwed up restored it .
i did the airbrush my self & ff paint , had some one else clear it .

and yes i sold it , like i do many of my guitars , i only keep the ones with MOJO
however i do miss this one , Esp maverick's are well built guitars !
you wont have any problem sellig your's ..

Ed.

thanks Ed, and you're right. I honestly didn't mean for this to be the result when I posted the thread I was excited I bought a guitar. I called my dad and told him he was pissed I spent a lot on it. I see the result is I am seeking info for the guitar, that's true no question. But the factors that led to me putting up the guitar on craigslist was I need money to live, I can't shred at all and feel insecure playing this guitar. I am a sloppy slow player, better drummer of course. But 80's guits are cool and have some interesting stuff I dont see in modern day guitars.

Honestly, I still figure the guitar won't sell, and the longer I own it the more I like it.

I like the neck wood, I never owned a guitar with 24 frets before. It's nice. My sister's boyfriend does airbrush art out here in LA he rents a small space Downtown and I want him to paint a tele body I have. It's cool to see others doing custom work so nice. I wish I was good at art like you and him.

Either way, thanks for the words and I am sorry to bring my thread problems into yours. Nice guitar, nice work, and thanks for taking time to answer.
