He's put out another Megadeth CD since then "The System Has Failed", and Chris Poland played lead on it. Yes, it is good.

The new Megadeth is in the studio finishing up the next one now. Dave is playing ESPs now. I don't know why he left Jackson.

I was shocked when he left Jackson, after playing them to deth (hehe I kill myself sometimes) for so many years. He's still shreddin' it up on the ESPs though, so more power to him. I personally prefer the Jackson Vs to his new ones, but I'm a Jackson player from way back

another one of my favourites who i think was in the second most underrated band of alltime, Criss Oliva of Savatage. He was awesome. Him and Jon were and amazing duo. Just like Donnie Vie and Chip Z'Nuff, only in a different style of music

NEW ALBUM......COMING HALLOWEEN!!!

Hell, he made another album 2 years ago, The System Has Failed, and went on a tour called Gigantour where a bunch of "metal" bands play their version of Ozzfest. They're doing it again this year, but I'm definately not going if Norma Jean is on the list.

I've been hearing a lot of people talk about Criss Oliva lately, but what i've heard of Savatage, his playing (while it is good) hasn't really made that big of an impression on me.
Tracii Guns, on the other hand, a lot of people would probably say "not bad, but big deal". For me, he really made an impression. That was probably due to the fact that L.A. Guns was my favorite band when I was in 8th and 9th grade, just after their debut tape came out.

Don't get me wrong, I totally dig Smith & Murray, but they aren't in my #1 spot.
The more you think about who's your favorite, the harder it gets.

Kind of like, John Petrucci. I like a lot of his playing, but the last couple of years Dream Theater's music has become unbearable for me. He sounds to nerdy, and sometimes just starts throwing out notes as if to wow the audience with sheer speed.

Vai, too quirky overall. Always has the ability to play some beautiful music.

EVH, love his playing, but I don't want to hear it all the time. I can't argue with his influence.

SRV, too SRV for me. I used to be all about some Stevie Ray. Now my favorite CD is In Step. That's when he finally broke the mold.

I'm not trying to pull down anyone's hero, I like all of these guys that's been mentioned (unless someone says kurt cobain). I just like them in different degrees.

I used to be a Maiden fan, then Judas Priest came around, gave me a punch in the face and said " " and then Enuff Z'Nuff came along and gave the Priest a nice kick in the groin lol. thats my story, but Smith and Murray are awesome
