Default Shred Jam 003

The middle is wide open as usual, the freq's are open to fill up, run some rips on this and send them in and I'll tighten everything up and post.

Map the breaks, some rests in there for freestylers.

Progression is E-G-D-C, rests are E, ask for a conversion if you are not tuned to 440 concert pitch.

I should have something later today.

I'm here at work for another 3 hours, then I'll record something.

Fastest is to email them to me- Pm for that

or

Use that service I am using, when you link to the baseline track log in

RSB (all caps)

Pass= shred (all lower case)

and then upload your track and post the link in my PM box and I'll snag it.

MP3 is what most will send in, every take is going to sound different as I have scooped the entire center out of the baseline and when I get your runs I will mix around them and bring some of the backing freqs back. Also we don't do drum machines at RSB's but Michael couldn't make it over yesterday- this will be fixed next weekend if I can get him over here, he'll track on the same baseline with his kit and we'll ditch the machine (BTW, GET a drum machine! It's the excellent for jamming with and your timing and phrasing will go through the roof, my comment is about final tracks on a machine, we do not likey here).

Thinking some will be freestanding sections and then after we get a few returns I'll do a mix of everyone trading licks. If you only want to do a section that's cool too. If you want to freak on the whole thing......well.....I would

Try to keep everything tracked to the baseline that way I can just insert it and then trim it later. getting a cut piece from the middle is a SOB to line back up.

Got a surprise coming too, there is a 4 chord bridge/chord change that goes with this when we jam it here at BGStudios- Next month or this summer I'll post that and when we start mixing that in we will have a fn jam.

I keep the progressions simple here so we can all run on them and let the axes talk- just noodle around everyone and shoot me some clips, we'll use the best and if you make a mistake that you don't like let me know and we'll leave that part on the floor.

Anyone that wants to track a rythum or a bassline send that in too, those are just placeholders in there now, if you can do a crunchy or ringy thing we'll slip that in too

Peace dooders, now get to work, I'd like to have a few to work with next week when the drummer can get over here and replace that drum machine with some human feeling and have a bunch more the following week.

OK, schedule revision- Michael was installing a step-down transformer yesterday at a local school project and ..... ummm not to be too graphic....but...... his lower torso inner-outter body cavity ripped and his bowels went into his scrotum........ a herinia, instant style.

He had surgery last night and is in recovery.... no drum tracks this weekend and I don't know what the recovery period is for this, I've never been around anyone with a major hernia.

Soooo, let's keep collecting tracks, send 'em in and we can work with the track as is for awhile.

Get well quick Michael, got you on my mind Bro

Sorry this is so late. Honestly forgot about it. Michael the drummer has recovered from the surgery and we put the real drums to it Saturday.

Ben, my brother, you passed the audition. Come on down and join our jam band

IMO:

Tone 10/10 i like this kind of rip-tone

We set this up as a rip a lead session, just doddle and get yer rocks off. Ben def got his off and it just gets better and better the further into it he gets

Nice job.

PS- Some room at the end, guys play a lick or two and see if you might want to contribute
