I happen to have 2 Peavey Rockmasters and I'm looking for a stock MP-1...

Maybe we could work something out?

PM me if you're interested...

I'll be needing a tuner for my rack one of these days, but I'll likely wind up going with a cheapie lol

As for EQs, I don't wanna dive into those! LOL but they are very cool, and allow you to shape your tones so much more.

My biggest fear with that is you can tweak so much that you'll (I'll) never be happy with my tone. Which is why there is no way in hell an Axe FX is in my future, WAY too much tweakability
the peterson is freakin sweet.. when they say this thing makes any other tuner out there look like a 20 dollar unit, they ain't kiddin'.. i'm still getting used to the whole "don't use a pick" thing (gotta use your thumb ONCE!..lol)... and it has two channels, so it acts as an AB switch.. so far, i haven't noticed a tone change from bypassing the unit to running thru the channels.. get one man, if you're serious about your gear.. (and who ain't?.. )

I wound up grabbing a Korg tuner, its great, so I think a Peterson would be overkill.

This rack was the best tonal investment I ever made. I will slim it down I think, but it allowed me to try out a ton of shit.

I have found my tone in the Soldano, it is thick as hell, but it has lots of bite too. Absolutely deadly tone. Like a pissed off Andy Timmons or Gary Moore

man i love my peterson.. i tuned my guitar with a boss tuner to get close.. tuned it perfect according to it.. jumped on the peterson, retuned to it, and man.. what a difference.. i couldn't believe how precise it is.. every single chord sounds perfect.. the one problem i face now is, i'm constantly telling the other guitarist he's out of tune.. lol.. but the main thing i like about the peterson is that i can tune all different kinds of instruments on it, and it has a preset just for those specific instruments.. (12 string, banjo, mandolin, etc..)

I just did the rack thing myself. Right now it stands at........

Engl 530
BBE 462
Rocktron Velocity 300 (oldschool model)
Mesa Halfback 4x12 stereo cab

For FX right now it's a Line 6 M 13.

I'm having trouble with the Engl........an enormous amount of noise and some RF interference. The noise problem manifests itself after the unit warms up a bit. I did some research and it looks like there's a good chance that changing the 2 12ax7's will sort it out.

I hope so, because when it's running noise free, the thing sounds great.

I know sweet fuck all about rack stuff.
Instead i have all my pedals going into a switcher thing and then into the amp input.
I have no rack gear what so ever and none of my amps have FX Loops. When i practice mid-week i dont really care how i sound i just plug straight into a Line 6 toneport and muck around with the pod-farm stuff. On the weekends (bedroom master) i go hard on the valve amps.

However, recently i have noticed that these ada-mp1s are going quite cheap on the bay, or at least compared to what they were 5 years ago when i last looked.

My question is this. I am lured by the price and functionality, but do i have any need for one and could i actually do anything with one?

Forgive me for sounding like a retard, but i really know stuff all about Rack gear.

Do you need one? Not likely.

They are very good preamps, but not the type of thing that is going to change your life.

As for being able to do anything with it, its actually pretty simple, and I'm sure you could find basic instruction on how to run one online.
