I love the look of those bound sharkfin Ibanez necks.

And that's a better looking paint job
than most i've seen. Some of those
BC Rich and Jackson snakeskin jobs
are hideous.

I've only seen two or three single hum Ibbys.
I like it!

The black sides is a nice touch.
I wonder if that is a fabric finish.

I think Justin from JC guitars had one like this a couple of years ago,one hum etc but it was more greeny, more colorful,i dont know it might be the flash or something.
He was seling it for 900$ if i still remember.

Its by far the coolest Ibanez ever, well this and the set neck destroyer.

Here's some pics of a fabric finish that a bud of mine did.

A dude he works with brought him the guitar, to see what he could do with it, if I remember correctly. I told him the paint job was worth more than the guitar!

That is a fabric finish, not painted ? WOW! So what was used over the fabric then, just urethane clear ?

Yep. That's the one I was telling you about. That's the guy in Philly.
Here's his website: www.ronscustomguitars.com/

He could be using urethane, but I don't know. The last time I talked finishing with him, he said he was getting some stuff from an automotive place that dries totally hard in a couple of days.

Yes, that would be urethane then. If it were lacquer it would take months and still not be completely hard. Oh wait, that sounded dirty.
