when ibanez first became a company..they were called ibanez "usa" because back when they started, japanese guitars had a bad rep with guitar players

so ibanez full name is ibanez usa

Bensalem PA and I think Hollywood were assembly plants in the 80s. Mace Bailey, who proto'd the Jem, is an American.

Several early IBZ had dimarzios - IBZ/USA

USA are not made in Korea,

Nowadays, the Jap IBZ are the Prestige - expensive lines. The Korea and China are cheaper

I have heard about special models or guitars coming out of PA. But that goes back to the early 90's.....1993 I think.

Made In USA Ibanez are VERY rare. More common are ASSEMBLED in USA from Japan parts.

A very small number of Ibanez guitars were made in the USA in both Hollywood, CA and Bethlehem, PA over the past couple of decades.

I think the intention of this forum was for Ibanez guitars with "USA address" neckplates and "USA custom" models. Most of which, are ASSEMBLED in the USA using Ibanez components.
