Default Shredder in disguise

Here's what's probably the nicest piece of wood I've ever carved up. It was a single piece of mahogany which was wide enough to fit a whole body. It was long enough to make three of them, and this was the nicest section of the board.

It has a Warmoth neck with their standard "C" contour. At first glance it looks like any other tele, but when you plug it in you notice the Duncan Hot Rails bridge pickup that absolutely screams. I had intended it to be a fairly vintage sounding tele, but when I dropped the Duncan in there and heard what it does I knew there was no turning back.

I should take some new pictures of it, too. I changed the pickguard to a vintage black bakelite one and it makes it look more distinguished.

I like your design on the headstock too.

Bright?
Mellow?
Looks very classy.
I would have put a tort shell on it, but that's just me.

Either way..it is badass!

It's on the bright side with a lot of bite. I think it's the guitar I played for the clip in my plexi thread.

I agree I think a vintage tort guard would be killer on that bad boy.

I like teles too and I wouldn't say it's in disguise - there are some guys who can Shred the f@#k outta them.

Roy Buchanan was like the original shredder.
Well, a lot of guys ripped back in the day, but he comes
to mind pretty quick, for me anyway.
