Default Ngd - dkmgt

Snagged off the bay, $275 shipped. Minty fresh, still has plastic on truss rod cover and on the tuning keys. Still got to figure out what year it was made. I had a DK2 years ago, and regret selling it, loved the neck - hated the Floyd. This fills the bill nicely. I love the MIJ Jacksons.

Didn't think I would like a string thru, but it's actually pretty nice. Don't know about the "turbo" switch though, my luck I'd pop it on and it would be full on, and I'd launch a speaker cone. The EMG - HZ's sound pretty good, most folks think they're crap...... but I'm a drummer, what do I know !!

Nice, I love mine and it still gets the most playing time.
The HZ'z are long gone from mine as well as the boost.
I have some great boutique pups in it at the moment.

I take it that the neck is angled back,
like a Les Paul to use the tuneomatic, right?

I'll be dammed, your right, and I never even noticed it until you mentioned. It's sitting at an angle about 1/8" higher where the neck over hangs the body.

Haha, yeah it needs the angle to get nice string action.
Even though I dig my Paul, sometimes it's a little weird playing on it, if I try to go a little more metal with it.

So far I haven't picked up my other two guitars since i got this one. It's not just the newness factor, I actually really like the string thru bridge setup. I learned on a Strat w/ the bridge locked down, and I tend to rest my palm on it when I pick. Didn't think the string thru would be comfy, but it's not bad, and lends itself to palm muting a lot better.
