Default Sm-1

Anyone see the news that Kramer is re-releasing the Stagemaster as the SM-1?

Personally, I'm pumped about it!

Anyone have a guess as to the price of it? I've seen a ton of posts on specs but not on price. If it's as expensive as the Charvel's well.. too bad. It's tough to beat 799 and case from Fender Japan. Even our beautiful "American" Kramer's are largely japanese built by ESP.

Also, why the mahogany body? I was under the impression that the original stagemasters were Alder.. or am I wrong?

I do like the maple bodies on the other models, that's pretty exciting. I love the tone of all maple. Been meaning to build a Carvin for just that purpose. mmmm.

I like the look of the black one, but I don't want the EMG's. I could probably flip the EMG's and buy Duncan's for it and make some money off of it though....

I haven't seen the specs (or don't remember them which is probably way more accurate haha) but that looks like an EMG 85 in the bridge, which is definitely the right choice.

SHhould be really meaty sounding, I love the 85 in the bridge of my KH602.

I wish Duncan's were an option for the black one too. Then I might consider it more when looking for another guitar.
