Default 2011 Baretta Special Floyd Mod ..

I like this guitar very much ! , but the vintage style trem sucks big time .

i found this old OFR , and went for it . drilled new post keeping within the scale of the instrument .

the floyd was installed , now i have to deal with the Floyd rose nut platform .
i think im going to send out to have this done , i do have sperzel locking tuners laying around somewhere , but i dont this it will hold tune with dive bombing ; ..

You could use a behind the nut lock like Kahler uses. Fretsonthenet is the web site I think. Use google for it.

Jon great idea man !

i will go with the 1st option : the sperzels , if that fails , then i will go with the old style model charvel series locking nut .

Jon there is no routing for that type of nut is there ?

Thanks again ed.

No routing involved just 4 screws to hold it in place. I've converted a Model 1 neck to hold one making it a Model 2 and its real easy.

iv lubbed the nut , and Jon i had the locking tuners laying around my house , so i used them on the baretta special .

its all stringed up , except for the 3rd string , iv ordered from stew mac 1 floyd rose string locking screw & 1 string block that was missing from the OFR i installed..

cant wait to see how she sounds ..
the stock pickup sounds really good with the mohogany body !
i think Gibby done there home work on this run of geetars .
