Smile American Showster

Hi there,

I recently played a Friend's American Showster(Metallist?) and was impressed with the build quality and price he bought it for from a dealer ($200). I like the way the jack socket is on the back of the guitar!

Does anyone have any info on these guitars and which is the best one to go for as there appears to be several models (metallist & savant).

Any info greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Anthony

I saw that one too

Isn't $269 a bit pricey for a korean made guitar?

Well, if it's a decent player I don't see why not. I've seen them go for more.

Ahh interesting! I didn't know that! I don't know what these guitars are worth, but Ed Roman has one for $1000 hehehe. Disclaimer: Ed Roman is totally insane on his Kramer prices.

Yeah. I don't think they came with those, so I'd say it's most likely a mutt. Still not worth 1k though

Why is it an American Showster if it was made overseas?

I have both a metalist and a savant they both play fantastic. I love my savant III. It plays as nice as any guitar I've ever played. The action is set so low you practically can blow on the strings and catch a note without any buzz. And as far as the value, If you check the Japanese market they bring high dollars. I like my savant III so much I probably would never sell it.
