Hey Barry welcome to Shred!

Sorry about how long your post was sitting here before answering...personally I had a lot of projects I've been finishing up before winter hits and haven't been online much.

It looks like you got a real sweet axe there! I have a few San Dimas era Jacksons too. What is the s/n of your RR? The pickups look like something other than Jackson...what combination are they? What amp do you rock it through?

BTW guitar porn is highly encouraged here...post away

well 1st let me say...wow I thought I signed into a ghost town forum here.ha,ha..no ummm well I just picked this beast up 2 months ago.so I havnt been into it yet.im curious what the pickup combo is my self..i think there stock Jacksons..but we'll see..serial # 1284..it was orig.ly..red w/white bevels..kinda've of an odd/rare combo..i like what someone did to it though.but I do wish it wasent messed with though but,.i will leave it alone.. I run through a Marshall tsl jcm 2000 w/a 800 cab..w/4 80's celestions in it..very nice sound..vintage..again im very curious whats under the hood of this thing.just haven't messed w/it yet...like the wiring set up.pickups ect..when I break a string or they get used up im going in and checkin it out..well,im glad to see its alive and well here..looks like a great forum.or used to be anyway..i like the header/home page you got going on here.very sweet lookin...see ya soon bud..God Bless..Barry

Jon I had no idea you had a student RR! I recently sold some land I owned in Columbia to purchase an '85 student King V (s/n J1446). I had wanted some of that neck-through San Dimas history for a long time, and this bad boy was in such primo condition(and was silver metalflake), I knew it was time to sell blood.

You got any OTHER San Dimas wood lying around?

Talking

I've had my Student for a long time, I traded a graphic Kramer Beretta for it. At the time I wasn't too sure I wanted to do the trade.
This is the only SD wood I have.

that is a Killer RR!

I think if I eventually get a "weird" (non-traditional) shaped axe, it will be an RR of some sort
