If it weren't for their endorsements,
I don't think guys like satch would be pullin

I agree. I think Satch and Vai have probably done very well for themselves with their endorsements.

And Yngwie. Most americans think his career is in the toilet, and it's been that way since the 80s, so why hasn't he been flushed yet?!
Simple, those people are forgetting about the european and japanese markets,
both of which seem to love "Wingnut." So, Satch and Vai probably do pretty well over there as well.
Marty Friedman seems to be pretty happy in Japan.

Cripes, a local musician can make decent money. Maybe not millions but so what. Still can make enough to be comfy thats for sure.

Get a good booking agent, decent gigs and a fan following, the money will come. It's not that difficult, but I always got more joy out of playing music that we wrote and seeing a good reaction from the crowd. Did we make much? Hell no!! But to me it's priceless.
