Here is a thread over at the metroamp board (EVH section). The author ripped out the pcb, and redid the amp old school, seeing if he could get a little VH tone out of it. This dude has NAILED the old EVH tone with his 100 watt amps.

I added reverb to both VJrs! Very nice indeed.

Not really a metal sound but with the TS9 I get a really edgy dirty tone that I really like.
Next is an attenuator mounted on the back side of each amp with a line out. Fun amps!

Cool! Reverb added.

Is the line out going to be for
direct recording?

Yup. Thats the main reason for it for me. You can also run the Jr. through a bigger amp or send it to a board if you want.

Cool. Slaving amps.

Those metroamp dudes do that with plexis, but they have to have a load and a line out box.

A little update. I added an attenuator with a line out. Its sweet. Its nice to play this amp quitely. Also, the line out is great for recording or running through another amp. This amp has so much potential. You just have to go out and do it.

You might be suprised. Add a TS9 and you are close. A Boss OD1 has a bit more bite. A Boss BD2 to me, will put it right there. I'm testing the line out and trying to get it ready for some recording. So far its good. I just need some time to fine tune it with my recorder.

Yeah, it doesn't have to be perfect,
but in the ballpark, and I'd be happy.

I can always add more gain later,
if I want to play heavier stuff.
