Just got this one in a straight trade for my player's condition 565. It's a 93' 540LTD Saber. It has an X2N in the bridge and a Super Distortion in the neck. Aside from a chip on the bottom edge that's been touched up, it's flawless. I got a great Ibby Deluxe case with it too.

1993 was the first year of the AANJ neck joint. This one plays really good. I'm not too keen about the X2N though. I know some guys like them, but they don't really appeal to me though.

yeah them x2n are mean beast in some woods, but duds in others.

That is sweet roger, Them are very comfy too. It was hard letting go of one back in the 90's loved the bound neck feel anf the inlays in them, like jacksons but a lil better

I like the thin body profile on those.
I want to build one out of eastern hard rock maple-just for the name of the wood!
It would be bright-about as much as a Tele-but the look is killer to my eyes.
I like it!

The DiMarzio X2N is a great pickup. It may not be the best in the particular body. Might work out better if you slap in a DiMarzio Tone Zone or something like that. Those strat style knobs look a little goofy on there. I remember the jade blue Ibanez S540LTD Saber I use to have had the dome knobs. Anyway, nice axe!
