NHL PLAYOFFS 2012 - The Hockey Thread

Last year my attempt to keep a running thread about the NHL Playoffs failed miserably. The year before it was a huge success and sparked many great exchanges. Maybe this is a sign that Shred doesn't give a shit anymore?

Anyway I'm going to pull a Vinny (Vin, you out there?) and just show my alliance...If you want to write something, GREAT...If not, then just PUCK OFF!

YO YO! Since my Habs didn't make it this year (seriously wtf is going on with them), I'm gonna jump back with my original team, New Jersey Devils! Whoo! I think we're gonna have a lot of trouble with the Pens, but florida is a joke and we play them first round.

Speaking of which... you guys should join my playoff predictions league. You pick the teams you think are going to win and how many games the series will last. You get points for the right guesses and compete with the other people in the group (right now just me, a few friends, my dad and brother.)

So you go to http://playoffschallenge.nhl.com/, login (or make an account, easy stuff). Once you log in, click on "leagues" and search for "2012 Picks GA"
The password for my league is "guest" (haha, Archer reference.)

Then you click on "picks," select your stuff, click save. You have to do it before the games start (tonight) at 7:30. Then after each round, you re-do your picks. It's pretty fun stuff. You also can join the public leagues and see how you do against everyone.

Just for reference, my name in the league is "Bret M." Not an original name but hey, you know who it is.

It seems to be a perfect shit storm with everything that could happen bad all occurring at once!
Needless to say having 3 players suspended today for game 4, when you're already down 3-0, will NOT help.

I'm very sorry to hear about the passing of the Detroit Red Wings...as a Pens fan I have nothing but respect for the hockey club (plus I had them picked in my fantasy bracket to win in seven )

My condolences also go out to Gerard whose President Trophy winning Vancouver Canucks lost their battle.
