This has ended up being one of my favorites.

Good story, a ways back late one night I was trolling the bay whacked of course...;) and I saw this for around 100 bucks so I grabbed it and forgot about it until it showed up on the door.

A pretty sorry looking Model 1 Charvel, the kid had rattle canned the funky blue paint job, it was poor and under the vintage trem it had more holes for a two post trem but the pickup was the real good Jackson hum.
I started scraping the paint off with my finger nail and a razor blade and liked what I saw.

Here it is all cleaned up and polished - a sparkle Champagne color, very cool.

So as you see in the first picture I put a Floyd on it and a maple neck from a Model 2 with the behind the nut lock.
It is one of my favorite players.

That was the original paint? :0 What was that spunk smoker thinking when he painted it with a can? It makes me a real happy camper to see an abused axe (especially an early Charvie) get a chance at a good life! There is a reason that Charvel got a deserved reputation...they were (are) great guitars.Your positive Karma has increased sir because of this act of kindness!

Nice, that rattle can would have wiped off with acetone or lacquer thinner and that wont harm that OEM Paint, It is Polyester and hard as Nails

Nice!!! I love seeing old guitars get a second chance to rock! I just picked up a Jackson performer PS2 that someone decided to do some wood carving on.....it's pretty bad so I'm in search of a new body....
