Just tweaking this out - was a PITA as I had to cut the pickguard and route the neck/mid for universal and route out the 5 way as it was 3 mini toggles - but I'm digging the outcome!

Looks cool... but are you sure on the Body being of Charvel Origin? The forearm contour looks a bit off for an SD, and I´m not too sure but the horns seem elongated and "sharper" as well......... and the 12.th fret dots seem minimally wide as well... Logo is also oversized by about 15%, like on the ´90 and ´91 Euro Reissues....
Would definitely be interesting to see more detailed pics of.... cool axe either way :beerchug:

Wow man! You absolutely know your Charvels.
I wasn't really serious, in fact I'm a complete Charvel novice. Never owned one, the only thing I ever did was play a used strathead in a music store when I was 14. I remember the neck was thin and flat, that's about it!
The only thing remotely Charvel about it is the logo that I applied. And maybe the 12" radius on the board - not even sure what the standard radius was.
This is a Warmoth Partsocaster, that I put the logo on. Supposedly was a Soloist body, but this looks more like a later Pacer body, like the Pacer Custom II or something. Supposedly an 80's Warmoth body so who knows. I got it for a song.

haha - yeah - holy poo!
I've got another parts Dimas that is out to clear right now - should have in a month or so. The body this time was touted as an exact replica of a 84 Dimas (shape wise). It's Zebrawood on top of basswood with binding. I scored a maple Warmoth with the Charvel logo applied. I got an non fine tuner Floyd for it with locking Gotohs. I also ordered a Charvel Spectrum pickguard from Chandler to give it that EE Pro look. I'll post pics when it's done!

Well, since this thread is kind of about CHarvel stratheads, let´s have a real one for comparison... :D

Not a Dimas, but a ´91 "Euro Reissue" (actually "just" the then distributor Zitrone usik ordering 75 Trans red and 75 Trans Blue S Stratheads)
Differences to a True SD: recessed Factory Floyd (Factory Floyds do happen on SDs, but never recessed), oversize Logo, 4 digit Jackson CS neckplate
One of the easiest spotting marks are the deep forearm cut and the closely spaced 12th fret dots, as well as the slightly different HS shape :king:
