Super versatile and what a Les Paul SHOULD be.

5 way switch has coil tapping and also a "spin a split" option. Really versatile.

Strat tones AND Paul tones

Oh, okay.
I've always thought of it as: different guitars for different things, kind of like different golf clubs for different shots.

I remember the Weddingtons, I never got to try one out though.
I tried the old Jimmy Page wiring with the four push pull pots in mine, but ended up ripping all that crap out and wiring it up 50s style. I've never tried the spin-a-aplit mod, but it does sound interesting.

I hear ya - think of the Weddington as a rescue club :)

My gig is all over the place. We play dinner music and jazz the first set, then uptempo pop and motown R&b second then usually more rock the 3rd. I can't carry a bag full of guitars so I need versatility. There is a limit tho as too many switches and pots gets confusing

Wow! Beautiful guitars bro.. although I do have to say the name is kinda goofy. Weddington?? hehe :icon_lol: Yamaha coulda come up with something better than that.

Tell me something... how is the neck profile on those? The necks are the big turnoffs for me on the Gibsons so I'm curious if these are the same. Man, I might have to start watchin eBay for one hehehe

THANKS FOR THE GAS!!!!

Hey Bro -

Yeah - since I play in a wedding band, it fits :eusa_danc

Seriously - the necks are WAY shred approved. My calipers tell me .79 at the first to .88 at the 12th.

1.71 nut width, very flat radius.

Have you tried a Les Paul Classic? The neck is much thinner on those, and the pickups are some high output ceramic monsters that are good for Metal.
