I liked the China made Discovery Floyd Rose guitar so much I had to have an American one.
This is the Redmond model 3, USA, transparent blue with maple board. Look at my albums for more pictures.
God, I love this axe, plays and sounds a dream.

It came in one of the cases just like the new Kramer reissues come in but it says Floyd Rose on it. It is almost an exact copy of the dinky pacer except no horn scoop. Looks just like the Pacer I got from Mike, Floyd Rose was influnced by his days with Kramer, this guitar shows it.

That looks so nice! That color really shows the grain in the wood like it's a work of art! Just out of curiosity, could you PM me the cost of that axe? That thing is SCHWEET! :drool2:

I got it at music123.com on close out, just search for Floyd Rose and they will pop up. The china made Discovery isn't bad but the Redmond model is where it is at. You can also go to FloydRose.com to check them out.
They are not cheap but it is made in America.

:eusa_naugYou ought to be hanging on to those maple/maple neck Redmonds...they're few and far between!

Mostly because a certain Shred member has seen fit to buy up almost all that were ever made. :shakehead :nutso:

.im probly not selling mine then(480 i payed ) , ive seen these up in usa auctions brand new for 700 ...somewhere in america their still for sale......just found 5 packs of strings half price too , you cant always get them here and they are expensive for regulr strings ,,,mind you same as elixers, not that expensive , they do last breaking wise , but get dull quick if left out of the case

For your information, all the Redmond bodies have the same routing under the pickguard, well other than the output jack. You can swap a two hum pickguard with a three single or a two single/one hum pickguard. You can even swap the necks on the bodies, they were made that exact.
Q...I'm sure there are more than enough maple/maple Redmond's out there for both or us. :icon_bigg
Jon with a few Redmond's :eusa_danc and The only RRR :eusa_whis

monkeyrg570 - you said you where not selling your Redmond 3, I think I see it on ebay currently

If anyone is interested I'm selling my USA Floyd Rose Redmond 3, translucent Orange, maple neck, 2 floyd rose gold pickups in the neck and middle position, floyd rose gold humbucker in the bridge. Comes with the original Floyd rose hardcase and spare string packs, all in perfect condition.

Pictures of specific sections of the guitar/case can be requested, here is the overall view.

I'm looking for 500 + delivery at cost, or collection from South West, Bristol/Bath/Swindon sort of area.

I do have a degree of flexability due to work commitments and can also meet in the Birmingham area or the Manchester / Liverpool area on agreed days/times/locations.

Thanks.

------ EDIT ---------

Apologies, just noticed there is a specific "classifieds" forum that I don't have access to due to a low post count, apologie for posting here, wasn't trying to get around the rules, I only really signed up to the forum to post this as I saw a thread talking about buying/selling floyd rose redmond usa guitars.

cheeky that he's re-using your photos.

I'm curious to what it will get to now that I've decided to part with mine

looks like he ended the auction early (it had over 3 days to go) and put a BIN of 450 on it.

monkeyrg570
01-13-2010, 03:46 PM
looks like he only lost 50 on it ....crazy, just got offered 400 for mine ...no way , 10 sets of strings too

darcym
01-14-2010, 06:39 AM
As sad as it seems 400 seems to be the best you can get for this,

I've had really little interest in mine, and when I have had interest it's been really really low offers (I've not got near 400 for an offer yet) I really don't think people understand just how good these guitars are.

monkeyrg570
01-14-2010, 07:35 AM
true- these guitars were very expensive and well thought out for a merket that was booming with hotrod guitars , so they had to be good

I want a jem7vw and to be honest the build quality and sound on this redmond in way better , but I just like thge jem neck with the ebony and vine

the maple finger boards come off really easy (compared to the rose woods) and when I say come off, I don't mean fall off, I mean removed easy by a profeissional.

You could get a new fingerboard on it, I know a few luthiers that have done amazing custom finger boards.
