OK, it may not be a shred guitar, but I'm really flirting with the idea of getting an Alpine White Les Paul with gold hardware. Anyone out there have any idea where I might be able to find the best price on Gibson stuff? I haven't really looked around the web past musiciansfriend and zzounds so far. Any help would be appreciated.

I have found great deals at a place in Nevada called Cowtown Guitars. Excellent Gibson pricing. I'd never buy a new Gibson. But they have great deals on vintage stuff.

Hey Mike,
Don't forget Craigslist.com, and by the way if ya are'nt to particular a Studio model comes just like you described. I own a lot of Gibby's and I would encourage you to find an older example. That is because of the way they're made and the type of woods Gibson uses in their construction. It has a great effect on the tone the gitfiddle will produce and when strumed unpluged it will resonate loudly and clearly. Elderly's (elderly.com) here in Lansing, Michigan has some real good deals on Gibson stuff and they are also Gibson authorized repair shop. I have used them for lots of repair work when I could'nt do it myself and they don't rape you it for either. I have tried other shops but where I live it is only about 45 mins to 1 hr. drive and the quality and price of the work is top notch!
