Focus mutt, but a really great guitar. Came together about a year ago, and it was like everything was just meant to be together:icon_bigg

Got the Focus 6000 body first, then found the reverse maple F-6000(?) neck, added original Floyd, Jackson J90C(bridge), SD Cool Rails(mid), SD Lil' Screamin Demon(neck).

I was really happy with the way she turned out. Plays great, and really resonant.

Craig...
I love the maple board reverse neck. It looks great with the black. Man, I gotta see all your axes. You've got some serious guitars in that stahs of yours.

Thanks, Alex.

I'm working on some shots of a few more of my 'extended family'.

I really like that neck. Some of those later Focus necks felt really good to me. I had a Focus 3000 "Baretta" mutt (bought a single hum pickguard from Warmoth) that had a really nice neck on it. It was just a little thinner than the American necks. Felt great.

Wow dude we have similar taste in pickups I see
Check out this auction (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7393989402) I won yesterday. The dude had a crazy BIN on it so I had to snag it up! Those pickups BURN!! In my opinion, you can't beat a good Jackson pickup for some serious metal shredding.

Speaking of which, I wonder who made those old Jackson pups? Was it Jackson or were they ghost built by a well known pup company like Seymour or DiMarzio? I'd like to know, because if there are modern versions of these I'd love to grab a few!

Adam, that's a great price on the J-90c. I'm not sure, but I've seen a few people list the Jackson pickups as Dimarzio made. Can't confirm it though. I'm going to drop that Jackson pickup from the Model 4 in my blue holoflash soon to replace the Invader. I totally agree that the older Jackson pickups are excellent!

I'm gonna post a question about it in our Jackson forum here to see if any of the Jackson gurus might know  Man that Baretta should sound awesome with that pup in it bro. I am gonna put mine in my Baretta II as well. Pulling the JB out in favor of a more metal pickup hehe. I know some of the diehard Kramer guys will shudder at the thought, but once they hear us play with our kickass pups... :headbang:

By the way, post some pics of that blue Baretta when it's finished!

Yeah Adam, I'm not really fond of the JB anymore with my current amp. It works great if I go through my rack gear setup and use my Tube Screamer TS10, which tightens up the bottom end on the JB, but I don't need to use the TS10 for extra drive with my Peavey Triple XXX. I find that the bottom end isn't tight enough for my running through the Peavey. It's too mushy and not crisp and crunchy. My ESP's with DiMarzio PAF Pro's in them sound much better than the JB.

I''m going to post the blue holo now!

You know Mike...I think most of those Focus necks were the same as the American's after 86 or 87...was just a matter of what logo they applied...for the order from Kramer :icon_wink Iv'e had some that were better than "American" logo'd necks :eusa_thin
