Ol' V

Picked this older Aria Flying V yesterday.
I'm not traditionally a V guy but this Matsumoku era axe was calling me for an overhaul :thumbs:

After a teardown and a bath, I changed the crap pickups to some zebs, added steel saddles, fixed the shielding problem and set her up.
The pickguard had been painted black so I stripped that off too.
Here she is revived and sounding great...Hard to tell from the pics but the paint is metallic burgandy.
A few more changes in the wings but she's up and running for now.

Hey nice V bro!
One of my 1st real guitars was a Metallic red V like that one. It was fun and a great learning piece. At that time I remember learning alot of Stryper licks on it.
Anyway- the white guard sets it off nicely. Nice work with the zebras too dude. :thumbs:
