I got this from Roger, it had some real funky junk on it for a nut before, I put this R1 on it. The trem looks bad too but works quite well.

Whatever happened to Yamaha guits anyway? I know they were pretty hip in the 80's, and I had the RGX (Ric Emmet) for awhile, pretty smoking. How does that one play Jon?

Nice mod there Jon. The whole trem system was the only design flaw on that one IMO. I never understood why people thought it would be a good idea to put the lockers behind the nut.......crazy. If I had of kept this, I was gonna just flatout remove the lockers. Aside from that, that's a pretty happening axe right there. Plays great.....less filling...lol!!

Nazzr, I think they suffered from "Krameritis".....just like Ibanez is right now. Concentrating on the beginner/intermediate market, and forgetting all about the cool stuff that guys like us want.

I thought I had some pictures of it on the site but can't find them right now.
I bought it from Roger cause I liked the color and it was cheap {Thanks Roger} but now I like the guitar too.
It is a neck-through with an ebony board, very slick and light, R1 nut - think ProAxe or Swan or a Stagemaster. I only know Kramers so put your fav brand name instead.:icon_bigg Only change I'll make is the pickups now, I like how it plays.

nice! I remember that. did it have a kahler style lock nut?

I've been doing a little more tinkering with her..oh she got a sexy bod, love to run my hands over her..
I swapped the stock pickups out for Dimarzio's, the singles are the noiseless hot ones and the bridge is uh I forget..
The bridge looks dorky but works good, when I had it apart I fit in a Floyd - fit perfect. A gold Floyd would cost what I've got in it so forget that.:icon_bigg
