I've always wanted to try
one of his signature models.

You'd have to be a major fanboy to pony up the 3 or 4k that thing probably goes for.

I don't really understand all the signature model thing anyway. Never have.
I'd like to try the Yngwie sig to see how the scalloped neck feels, and to see if I was going to waste my money or not with the HS-3 & YJM pickups. :icon_wink
The JS sig was basically and R 540 Ibanez guitar (maybe with a couple of changes) it was a cool guitar to begin with. Same thing with the Geddy Lee bass. From what I understand, it was just a regular jazz bass from the 70s, with a Leo Quan badass bridge on it. I'd get one of those too, with or without Geddy's name on it, because it plays well and looks good.
I've always wanted to do a Frankenstrat or 5150, but I would probably feel weird about playing it. :eusa_shhh
And, for some odd reason, I don't have a problem with the George Lynch Kamikazes or the Tiger stripe models. :eusa_danc

Clapton and Jeff Beck already had relics made. You can make your own for $100,000 cheaper though. Just take a beat up Squire and put cigarette burns all over it.:icon_bigg

I'd rather do a David Gilmour replica.
Change the pickguard, put some good pickups in it,
and a short whammy bar on, and you're good to go!

I've got Earthquake, which is good,
but I've heard two tracks off of Firewind (don't know which two)
and I liked those better than Earthquake.

I have em both. The production on Firewind is better all around....not that it was bad on Earthquake, but there are a few clunkers on Firewind however. Not because of the guitar playing, but because of Uli's vocals. the highpoints on that album.....of which there are many, are really incredible though. Particularly when you consider that it was recorded in 79 or 80.

Uli's vocals are very much an acquired taste,
just to be able to listen to them. :icon_lol:
