I can't quite get with this whole Charvel revival thing.
Maybe it's because I never played a Charvel.

I always thought of them as Jacksons with a strat headstock.
I do like the "I wish we had Alexi Laiho back" Vs. :eusa_danc
If they did one in black with lime green pinstripes,
that would be the perfect vehicle for a Danny Spitz replica.

Wayne Charvel made some kick ass guitars, mostly modding, and such...
but was a shitty businessman. Grover Jackson bought him out and carried the name forward. No royalties, just bought it outright for a song.
It became the import (made in Japan) line for Jackson, but some of those guitars kick ass. I'm a fan, but more in the Model series pointy heads. Some like the strat heads better.

I've read that Grover was a great business man, but a real jackass.

That's his rep.
But apparently Wayne had his share of problems, too (poor work ethic being one...).

Yep. We've all got our faults. :icon_lol:

I hear Wayne's new guitars
are really good.

I'm not even sure if he ever completed a whole guitar! :icon_eek:

The new strathead look ok, but I'm not that crazy about pickguards
and swimming pool routes. Great Sam Dimas style necks, but the body
kind of kills it. I'll have to try one to make a real judgement.
Great deal though, 999 MSRP, and made in USA, with OFR's.

I'm talking about these Wayne guitars.
I don't see any pickguards and Fendre swimming pool routes. :icon_wink

It looks like he altered the headstock from what they looked like when they first came out a couple of years ago.

If I remember correctly,

I've just been offered a CS Warrior from that Namm show (or it might've been the previous one). Pretty sick graphic. Skull and intestines.
