At guitar building. I figure I gotta post something other than porn ...Now that the shredding days are past, it's time to turn back to my third love, woodworking. Before I jump into building from scratch, I wanted to put together something to get a feel for for what it may taketo build one.

Sorry for the poor pic. Everything here was purchased from various sellers off e-bay. I'm sure you can guess who my influences are...This bad boy has got 22 frets, a EMG h1 in the neck and Jackson cr-v in the bridge with classic 2v 2t 3 way toggle, gold Sperzel locking tuners and gold tune o matic bridge and tailpiece. I fugure for a couple hunderd bucks, I could fuck arouond with this before I jump into building one for real.

Yup,
It looks good...what I can see..:icon_lol: I like putting parts together too, the building from a tree is too much work for me, let them young guys do that with all their energy and time, me, I need instant gratification.:icon_wink I can find necks and bodies cheap on the bay all the time, it's usually the parts that get expensive specially if you build with a Floyd.

Back In Black, baby!
I would never build an SG, simply because I don't want to do all those bevels. That crap would take forever! But, putting one together...I could see me doing that.

Looks good Tom, did it have a finish on it, or did you paint it?
I used to hate SGs, until an older dude that I went to art school with let me play his 61. THEN, I got it. I've liked them ever since.:icon_bigg
