Action eveness

Im trying to set up my guitar myself. Im not so good:icon_redf...but im getting better. anyways my question is, how do I make the action the same height all the way down the fretboard...the top frets are nice and close, but the bottoms a lil higher...

If you're talking bottom frets (as in towards the nut) then tighten the truss rod. If you're talking about towards the bridge, then lower the saddles. :thumbs:

If you adjust the truss rod, make adjustments in quarter turns and allow the neck to settle for a few minutes before you adjust it again. Be gentle with it, but don't be scared to turn it. It won't break unless you neanderthal it. :D

Also, when you lower the strings, you might need to loosen/tighten the truss rod anyways. A neck should have a little bit of relief. If it starts to buzz in the first 3 frets, you need to loosen it. If it buzzes around 12-15, it needs to be tightened. Just a tip. :thumbs:
