Anyone have Ibanez JS series experience? I played one in a store for a while and man that axe was COMFORTABLE all around - neck, body, contours, frets, trem... NICE playing fiddle.

I kina want one. :eusa_naug

You don't want that, Doc.
They give Ibanez a good name. :eusa_danc

All of them i've played were pretty much the same.
That says a lot about the consistency.
I thought the Fred and the neck pickup sounded good as well.

BTW: the neck feels more like a Fendre
than an Ibanez. Take that Fendre haters!

Ibought a used 2001 JS1000 a few weeks ago, and I love it. It is very comfortable to play. I like the feel of the neck better than the RG Wizzard necks. The pickups are great. It's real easy to get harmonics to squeal out of them.

Get one.

A JS is still on the top of my GAS list.

But I'd have to unload something to make room.

It's a good axe doc. I have a thread about my old JS1000 somewhere in here.
The Fred pup is probably not what you're used to which is a lower output than your typical marzys, but great dynamics and quite versatile. More like a PAF. The Mo Joe is also a great neck pup (not sure which neck pup I had). As far as the neck goes...doesn't feel like a typical Ibby neck at all, and it's a happy medium between an RG style and a fatter strat neck. Also a very comfortable guitar to play. I personally still prefer the RG's but thats just me. :icon_bigg
Keep your eyes open for good deals....always new auctions on the Bay.

its the joe satriani signature......with the surfing alien.
REMEMBER!!!!!!!! its not the JS20th...this model has a 3d model of the alien.....and its much more expensve.

Any of the higher end JS models are good.
I've played some of the lower ones that are good as well.
