A buddy bought a '99 Black & beat up M-250 with 2 EMG 81s for $200, had me install them in his KH-502 and gave me the rest of the guitar. I ended up giving it to another buddy (Chris). He wanted to do something with it and I had some ideas and some extra parts and materials laying around. So, here it is now...

We stripped all the paint off, filled the cavities, layed a zebrawood veneer top, stained the back and sides, and installed an EMG 81 straight up to the output jack. Obviously it is hot as hell and is not very versital. It does do its job at grinding well though. Chris had me put it on Ebay the other day to see what it can bring.

Nice:thumbs: I like the pickup ring and the overall wood look.

It looks really good,
but I need a volume control,
and highly prefer a tone control.

wow never notice the lack of volume, yeah I need that too :)

I'm certain I will end up at least installing a volume pot on it before it goes to a new home. I can live without a tone pot, myself, but going without a volume is pretty rough. It does sound badass though.
