Wow, I'm really not a fan of Washburns but that is freakin' sweet! I like the Ebony fretboard w/ no inlays.

Now there's a new guitar that I could get excited about!
Not real crazy about the carved top, but it's still cool.
Washburn made some nice guitars in the 80s.

They also need to bring back the Wonderbar tremolo. :icon_cool

I kinda dig that, really like the sharp horn look.

That is different for Washburn!

I got this one as a kickback from Washburn way back :icon_lol:
Came with a JB but I slapped a Lado Schaller in for laffs!
Also a carved top and almost the same color.

I always liked that Washburn body shape.

Was that one heavy? It seemed most
Washburns back in the day were on the
heavy side. It didn't bother me, but it
probably turned a lot of people off.

Cheerz!
It's a 91 KC90...don't see them much and they were actually alder and not very heavy.

I know what you mean about the earlier ones though... most of the Matsumoku built stuff was heavier.

One of my friends had one from the mid 80s, flat top, same headstock like the new one at the top, except regular instead of reverse, and the old logo. It had some kind of funky humbucker that i've never seen before or since, and a Wonderbar trem.
It was godawful heavy, but that thing played great!

Nice neck, not too thin, but not thick at all.

Man, Those wonderbars may have worked well, but they were the FUGLIEST trem ever created!!! YUK!!!

I didn't think they looked
THAT bad.

yeah them wonder bars are different...
Haven't played wit one in a couple of years, but to me it was basiclly a F'd up Kahler :icon_lol: THey are huge! I installed one on a friends old plat series Warlock the bridge weight more then the body, BUT it did make a difference in the sound, sustain and the guitar played better.

I thought it was cool that they were fully top mounted. No routes required.

If I can find a good deal, i'd like to snag one on ebay. Most people that have them now, think they're made out of gold! :thumbsdow

This one is just like the one my friend had, except his was black. The owner even says this guitar is heavy.

If I had the cash, i'd probably snap this one up, just for sentimental reasons.

The Washburn Nuno N2 and N4 models are great guitars.
You can find them on ebay. The N2 has a regular neck and heel.

Sure do. My women are prettier,
and they don't have wang bars. :eusa_danc

Looks a bit worse than what I remembered.
Then again, that Peavey Backstage Plus had back then
probably doesn't sound that good now, either.
