Are you serious ?
He's good however he doesn't build a melody in his solos,just notes,patterns,arpeggios etc.
When you don't have a melody it's so easy to play around .
He is good but a god I think is too much (at least to me ).

A God? ... well he does kinda look like Jesus haha. This is the first time I actually heard the guy. Heard of him before... and I must say the first word that comes to mind is DAMN! He just blew my mind. In my opinion he was (is) very melodic. And the dude was putting so much emotion to it and was having a blast, too!!! To me, that's what music should be all about. Enjoy it personally first, then worry if other people enjoy it or not. :)

Too bad I don't quite live by that rule yet. Got LOTS more practicing to do but when (if) I get to that point it'll be soooo blissful. :D

Watch some of the jazz stuff he does playing with a band!
and then tell me if you feel the same !
I just posted the first one I found it in no way was suppose to be used as the best he has out there!

I already saw lots of his videos.
My point is if you change the position of all stuff he is playing,it will not make any difference because he is just playing around.If it had a melody stuck to chord progressions,then you won't be able to change that stuff.
Greg Howe do the same stuff 100 times better.
I prefer more melody guided solos.
But he is good,no doubt about it.

Well i think what it is is that this guy is clearly improvising... And OMG does he have skills at it. Pretty amazing. Of course if you can sit down and think about what you are about to play, you can write a very melodic and interesting solo. But there is just something about melting faces on the fly that interests me.

i think he stinks.. he's not bad.. but it's just that the notes don't fit.. and he actually has my kinda style, but.. at least i can keep it in the key the rest of the band is playing... blah..

The guy can jam no doubt....but imo it's just another case of over-playing to a simple groove track. The notes are kind of all over the place. Good chops though.:thumbs:

I would have to agree with this post 101%. I'm no lead guitar wizard by any stretch... I have ZERO training... ZERO ability to read music... ZERO theory etc etc etc etc.... but I strive to be able to just sit there with a backing track and just "lay it down" like that dude is doing. He's doing it from his heart in my opinion as well, with whatever theory/training he has behind it too I'm sure, but he's improvising and that's commendable IMO. I wish I could do shit like that haha.

Oh and by the way... was anyone else as shocked as I was when I opened up a thread titled "My New God" and there was not even one photo of me??? :eusa_danc
