Ok, I have an original '84 Baretta, SOLID maple body, heavey as all hell. I'm talking proving that gravity works.

Anyway, when I got it, it had the original Schaller in it. I thought it sounded scratchy and thin. Wasn't thrilled. So, then I went with the ol' tried and true JB. It was an improvement, but nowadays, I'm just not feeling it from it anymore.

I guess I'm looking for a pick-up that can bringout the crispy-crunch from the heavey dence maple, but also have a nice low almostgutteral low end also. Like a full spectrum of a higher output pickup.

Any suggestions for a good pickup for a heavy dence one pick-up maple body? I'd like to hear what ever suggestions are out there.

Last time I asked you guys for some suggestions, you guys came through with flying colors! I ended up with a perfect match of a Duncan Distortion in one of my favorite mutts...'Sybil'(below)

The Baretta I have affectioanlly named 'The Beast' (it's black, and heavy as hell, with an R5 radius neck that can be kida intimidating.) Trust me, the name fits. But she needs the right pick-up.

So I was thinking you guys could help out again...Lets hear 'em.

Damn, I wish I still had that guitar. I really liked the Schaller in it. Too bad it didn't tickle your ear.

Have a somewhat similar project going and after putting a lot of time in on search and review this one seems like it's the pro players new "secret" weapon of choice. Kinda pricey but...

Well you nicknamed the guitar "Beast" there must be a reason for it. So why not a pickup to match.
The Dimbucker sh13./ "INVADER" They look mean too.

With it being Maple. The screamin Demon was designed especialy for a large slap of Maple.

A lot of People dont rate the screamin demon, but a lot of guys have it loaded in the complete wrong guitar.:icon_wink

There's just a couple of pickups that sometimes get over looked.

Personally i would have a Pearly Gates in there.:drool2: Thats what i have in most of my Guitars. They sound amazing. real sweet, but full of balls. When you back off on the volume they still sound amazing. No job they cant handle.

Talsiman hit the nail on the head here. A demon in an all maple guitar you'll have an extremely loud percussive low end, smooth mids, and alot of highs for cut. They're not as high output as most duncans people suggest but because of their lower output they will stay cleaner under heavy gain. I don't see how you could go wrong w/ a demon in that guitar. Especially w/ the slanted bucker giving it some heavy growl!
