OK, here it is. My chance at infamy....be forewarned, this is a LOOOONG piece. Like 9:30 minutes long....recorded in around 1992 or so on a Tascam 688 (recorded 8 tracks on a cassette tape). It's been transfered to ADAT to Yamaha AW-16G over the years, before this conversion. There is a lot of layering of guitars in the song, and it's all about groove. If you feel the groove of the song, you might like it and it goes by quickly. If you don't feel it, well, you'll probably hate it. Please note, I'm not a shredder....most of my soloing in this piece is based on deep in the gut feel within the groove. And honestly, I didn't do any drugs before this recording...I'm just naturally wierd. Here you go, feel free to rip away (if you actually make it through the entire thing...lol). This is just uploaded directly to my website, so I'm not sure if your computer will open up a player automatically, or if you have to download it.

BTW, Yes, that's my toilet that I recorded with heavy reverb at the beginning of the song....

Wow Mike...pretty impressive....why did you hide it for almost 15 years :eusa_thin

Is that a 12 string you're playing...and was that a toilet flushing in the intro?

Nice leads...no drugs needed

Nice work :icon_wink

That is some pretty good guitar playing Mike. :guitarplay: What was the creative idea behind the toilet flushing intro. :icon_neut

Very nice dude! I love that kind of music. Sounds like something out of an old Genisis/gabriel tune. Makes me want to..... RIPP!

Thanks guys, you're too kind to this "wannabe" rocker....lol.

Yep, 12 string Martin Sigma with some chorus on the intro and outro. The 12 string is joined by a 6 string Taylor and a clean electric with chorus once the drums kick in, as well as the dirty guitar, with another dirty guitar punching in and out.

Dude, did you ever stick a microphone into the toilet bowl and have it running through a huge reverb, all while listening through headphones? If you have, then you'll know why....

Sounds good to me.

Your soloing meshes really well with that acoustic rhythm.

WOW! I made someone's IPOD? I'm not even on my WIFE's freaking Ipod!:eusa_danc

I'll try to mix up some other stuff I might have laying around sometime. The unfortunate part is, I think I have some stuff on cassette, and nothing else, I'd have to transfer. Trust me, I'd count on the quality of playing only going down from here....not that it's too high to begin with!
