the neck came from custom woods an e-bay seller..i didnt get one that was ready to play it was bare and it needed a grind and polish but its of good quality and was afforadable i got it a few years ago before they were going for over $ 250 i rate it between a mighty mite and a warmoth ..its got the look for the franken.

its not too hard the hardest part is being patient..black coat 1st let it dry 2 days tape it off then spray white.wait 2 days then mask for the red.i used the e-books from paint your own guitar they are awesome.i push down on all the tape lines about 10 times and i only had 2 places with bleed thru and they get touched up with a brush before clear coat.i used satin clear instead of crystal clear on this one.now i have to let it sit a month and i dont think im even going to wet sand and buff..i might sand thru in a spot or 2 to make it look like its toured..maybe a ciggarette burn or 2.so simple a caveman can do it :icon_lol:

Damn Rick,
I got a customwoods neck too for my 5150 and my neck doesnt look that nice did you do anything to it to bring out like that?
heres my 5150 that i did with the focus body I got from you!
I went with the relic'd look and stained the neck to give it the played look!
What did you use to dress the frets mine are a little rough on the edges.
Not mexistrat rough, but still a little to rough to really be comfortable!
