I just bought a black Focus 1000 yesterday for $175. And although I owned a Striker in the past, I'll just call this my first Kramer. I'll post pics once it arrives! (should be either Saturday or Monday next week, unless he overnighted)

Nice. They're great guitars. Change the stock pickup and it will be as good as any Baretta!

That's a good score bro! Those foci are excellent players. I still have 3 1000's myself. Need to pull one out and freak on her. Have not played one for a few months. you'll find that the neck is fast as greased lightning. Very sweet

Nice score:thumbs: Mike is right, replace the PU and they sound great.
Here's a pic of my 2000 with a SD Screamin Demon http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p33/cboryczewski/Focus/Focus002.jpg

Hey, that's cool news. SD SH 13 is excellent pickup, btw. You can get very close to Van Halen-tone with it.

A Focus is a fine guitar, here is my 2000 with an American neck and a pair of Schallers which I've changed to 59's.

IT'S HERE...

...and I'm a little dissapointed...

First of all, the OFR doesn't return to pitch right, so I need new springs. Secondly, the 7th fret is coming up a little bit causing HELLACIOUS buzzing at the 5th and 6th frets. No truss rod adjustment is helping at all. Also, the frets look like they've never been polished. (So basically, I'll just pay the $100+ to have it fully set-up and then I'm sure I'll be happy)

Also, to nitpick, the nut is WAY too thin for me. Good lord, it's like a pencil! And the pickup SUCKS...very dull sounding.

BUT...the best thing is that I only paid $175 for it. And it's not that bad, it just needs some TLC. Overall, I'm gonna keep it, but it needs some work right now.

PS- And yes, the Floyd is recessed. The previous owner had it routed and he did a good job. (I prefer recessed trems anyway)

David, Nice guitar dude. By the looks of it it looks like a 85, banana headstock. Actually kind of rare and you pick it up at an excellent price. Fix the things that are wrong with and you will not be disappointed. I have its kissing cousin.
