B.C. Rich ST III

I think I found a real keeper. I took a little road trip to Guitar Center one Sunday afternoon and came across this B.C. Rich. I have been thinking of getting a B.C. Rich guitar for a while but just never found anything to my liking. I believe this is an American made ST III, but am not sure. It is a solid wood body (poplar I think). It has a Dimarzio hum and believe it or not an Ibanez edge floyd trem. I have heard that the early American made ST III's did not have made in USA on the headstock and came stock with an Ibanez edge trem. Where ever this was made I don't really care it plays and sounds awesome. It looks as if no one ever played it. Hey for $200 I figured I couldn't go wrong. The serial on the neckplate is B0460. What do ya think? Kevin

ST3 are very nice guitars I have had a few :)
As for the made in USA not on the head stock ...as far as I know that was only on the early neck thrus.I have a 86 neckthru that has what people call the harpoon headstock with the big script logo. Has a super thin neck
Looking at the controll covers and routes yours looks like a USA to me, it does not say in on the headstock? kinda odd for a bolton?
Not sure why it has a ibanez edge trem, The original bridge sould say BC Rich on it.

Yeah I'm not 100% sure were this was made, it is nice though.

ST III's did have Ibanez Edge trems as standard,BCR used the EDGE trem on other guitars too

Having said that,they also used the Tamaguchi (Sp??) and Gotoh trems too:icon_bigg

IMHO,the Ibanez Edge trem is the best floyd ever made,but what wuld I know,I'm a bassist:icon_lol: :icon_lol:
