Fellow guitar nuts.....I have a Baretta 1 project going on and I'm trying to decide what pickup to put in it. It has a slanted humbucker and I worried that a pole pickup might lose a little zest because of the slant of the route. I was considering putting an X2N in it. Anybody opinions on this pickup? Will the slanted slot affect a pole pickup like an EVO?
Thanks,
D:smokin:

Well... I'm not familiar with Dimarzio pickups... BUT I can take that Baretta I off your hands if it doesn't work out :eusa_danc hehe

Go ahead and try out the pickup you want, regardless of poles or rails. The slant on my Focus 6k is such that every string hits at least one pole piece, and if anything, it gives the tone a little more ass.

:eusa_naug Now Adam...not before I get first dibs on it....ha ha. :icon_smil Remember I still need about 3 more to catch up with you.
Dale, you might think of using Seymour Duncan pups. That is all I ever use. Not too familar with Dimarzios myself. Try either the JB, Custom Custom or something like that.
I had one in a focus 3000 and loved it. Give it a try, if you no likey sell it. :headbangd

Well my friends, if you not up on Dimarzio pickups I suggest you give a EVO or a X2N a try.......blows SD out of the water!

Well Dale & Eric...since you guys have been raving about the DiMarzio X2N I think I'll give that pickup a try in my BC Rich Gunslinger guitar project. Just snagged a new X2N pup off Ebay for $55 shipped which does not sound like a bad price. I just need to find a used Gold OFR trem for around $125...I know I know...fat chance of that happening. :eusa_whis
I've got a gold OFR for sale in brand new condition. The only reason I can't exactly call it new is because I don't have the box for it. I need to get 175.00 shipped for it though. It's a chance to get a new OFR at a reduced price. Let me know if your interested.
Thanks,
Jeff

Thanks for the offer Jeff but I'll have to pass on it. I've got only $125 to spend on one.
